Terms & Conditions


Welcome to The Dance Collective. We are committed to providing a fun, inclusive, supportive and professional environment where every student has the opportunity to grow in confidence and develop their dance skills.

By enrolling at The Dance Collective, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.


1. Notice Period

Should you wish to leave The Dance Collective, we require one full calendar month’s written notice.

Notice must be given by email (Thedancecollective.tdc@outlook.com)

Students may continue attending classes throughout their notice period.

Example: If notice is given on the 10th February, payment will still come out on the 1st March due to 1 month notice period. Student will be able to attend util the end of March.


2. Missed Classes

Fees secure your child’s place in class and therefore cannot be refunded for:

Holidays

Illness

Family events

Other absences


3. Uniform

Students are expected to attend classes wearing the correct uniform, appropriate footwear and with hair secured as instructed.

Correct uniform helps create a professional environment and ensures teachers can safely assess technique.

Jewellery should not be worn unless required for medical reasons.


4. Behaviour

We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and respectful environment.

Students are expected to:

Treat teachers and fellow students with kindness and respect.

Follow teacher instructions.

Arrive ready to participate.

Respect the studio and equipment.

Bullying, disruptive behaviour or inappropriate language will not be tolerated.

Parents and carers are also expected to treat staff and other families respectfully at all times.


5. Medical Information

Parents/carers must notify The Dance Collective of any medical conditions, allergies or injuries that may affect participation.

Students should not attend classes if they are unwell with a contagious illness.


6. Photography & Video

From time to time, photographs and videos may be taken during classes, performances and events for promotional purposes, including our website and social media.

Consent will be requested upon registration, and parents/carers may withdraw consent at any time by informing via changes on Classforkids.


7. Safeguarding

The Dance Collective is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.

All staff follow our Safeguarding Policy and appropriate procedures to ensure every student can enjoy dance in a safe environment.


8. Competitions

Competition opportunities are optional unless otherwise agreed

Selection for competition teams is based on factors including:

Attendance

Commitment

Behaviour

Technical ability

Team suitability

Additional costs may apply for competitions, costumes, and entry fees.

Competition decisions made by teachers are final.


9. Shows & Performances

Annual shows and performances are an exciting part of The Dance Collective.

Participation may involve additional costs including costumes, theatre fees and photography.

Students are expected to attend rehearsals where possible to ensure the safety and quality of performances.


10. Personal Property

The Dance Collective cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged belongings.

Please ensure all items are clearly labelled.


11. Health & Safety

Students should follow all health and safety instructions given by staff.

Teachers reserve the right to ask a student to sit out of a class if participation may pose a risk to themselves or others.


12. Changes to Timetable

The Dance Collective reserves the right to amend:

Class times

Teachers

Venues

Timetables

Reasonable notice will be given wherever possible.


13. Liability

Dance is a physical activity and, whilst every effort is made to minimise risk, participation is at the student’s own risk.

The Dance Collective accepts no liability for injuries sustained except where caused by proven negligence.


14. Data Protection

Personal information is collected solely for the administration of The Dance Collective and is stored securely in accordance with UK data protection legislation.

Information will never be shared with third parties without consent unless required by law.


15. Acceptance

By registering with The Dance Collective, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.

The Dance Collective reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be made available to parents and students.
